Privacy Policy

Last Revision Date: October 6, 2026

Big Treehouse Publishing, doing business as Aldo the Author ("we," "us," or "our"), operates aldotheauthor.com. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

When you submit the school visit inquiry form, we collect the information you enter: your name, school name, email address, phone number (optional), number of students, language preference, and your message about your school and preferred dates. If you email or call us directly, we receive the information you share in that communication.

Like most websites, our site and hosting provider may automatically collect basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited. This helps keep the site secure and working properly.

How we use your information

We use the information you submit to respond to your inquiry, plan and schedule school visits and programs, and follow up about your request. We do not use it for anything unrelated to that purpose.

We do not sell your information

We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only as described below.

Service providers

We use trusted third-party services to run this website and receive form submissions, including our website host (GoDaddy) and our form processing service (Formspree). These providers handle your information only to provide their services to us and are subject to their own privacy policies. We may also share information if required by law.

Cookies

Our website host may use cookies or similar technologies to operate the site and understand general traffic. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking them may affect how some parts of the site work.

Children's privacy

Our books and programs are made for children, but this website is intended for parents, educators, and school administrators. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.

Data retention and security

We keep inquiry information only as long as needed to respond to you and manage any resulting program or booking, or as required by law. We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure.

Your choices

You may ask us at any time to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email us at aldotheauthor@gmail.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Links to other sites

Our site links to third-party platforms such as Instagram, Substack, and Pinterest. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please review their policies separately.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows when it was last changed.
